It’s been an exceptionally rough week for Tennessee athletic director John Currie. After the Greg Schiano situation turned toxic, Currie found himself on the hot seat and now former Vols coach Lane Kiffin is poking fun at him on Twitter.
WWE’s Monday Night Raw was in Knoxville last night, and Tennessee fans the Schiano incident into part of the show. They made signs and yelled chants saying “Fire Currie!” that got loud enough to be picked up on the broadcast.

Kiffin, who is known for shenanigans like this, didn’t miss his opportunity to make fun of Currie and his former school:
Great drop kick!!! https://t.co/BbRYkrorVp

What’s especially humorous here is that Kiffin could wind up being Currie’s target, if he hasn’t already been contacted. He was the coach in Knoxville in 2009 before leaving to take over sanction-riddled USC. He’s currently finishing up his first season coaching Florida Atlantic.
If the administration doesn’t want Kiffin in charge, at least one section of the fan base certainly does.
