Knoxville columnist mentions Bobby Petrino as a candidate for the Tennessee job

After one of the most bizarre coaching search fiascos in college football history, Tennessee is still without a head coach. Considering what happened to Greg Schiano, it will be fascinating to see who gets the gig.

However unlikely, Knoxville News Sentinel sports columnist John Adams has thrown Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino’s name into the ring:

Petrino has compiled an impressive 117-47 record as a college head coach, but he has a tumultuous past of his own, and it’s unclear whether or not he’d have interest in the Tennessee job.

But if you’re a Cardinals fan, it’s something to monitor nonetheless.
