Kentucky outside linebacker/defensive end Denzil Ware was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week on Tuesday.
Ware did just about everything, finishing with two tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in Kentucky’s 24-17 win Saturday at Southern Miss.
The second fumble recovery gave Ware the first touchdown of his Kentucky career. The junior from Opp, Alabama, scooped and scored from 20 yards out on a fumble caused by junior safety Darius West.
