Kentucky senior wide receiver Dorian Baker might be out for some time after suffering a significant ankle injury on Saturday, coach Mark Stoops announced on Saturday.
Baker is expected to be a major contributor to the Wildcats offense this season after catching 14 passes for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns last season. Stoops stated that no status update will be given until an evaluation next week.
Standing 6-foot-3, Baker is a big target for quarterback Stephen Johnson on an offense that looks to improve its passing game. Kentucky finished No. 102 in passing offense last season, averaging just 186.1 yards per game through the air.
Baker is a senior from Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
