Kenny Hill has been having a fantastic senior year. He’s shown marked improvement in just about every single significant area of quarterbacking.
Hill has been shooting up awards lists because of this improvement. The latest award nomination for Hill is the prestigious Davey O’Brien Award, given to the nation’s best quarterback as judged by the Davey O’Brien Foundation.

Hill has been solid this year, even though his stats haven’t been incredible. He’s thrown for 2,009 yards and completed 68 percent of his passes. In addition, he’s thrown for 15 touchdowns to just five interceptions.
Is he breaking records? No, but he is leading his team to wins and not turning the ball over. In the end, that’s all that matters, as TCU’s defense is good enough to cover for a lack of scoring at times. In addition, Hill has supplemented TCU’s running game with his legs very well.
If Hill and TCU can get a win against Oklahoma this weekend, they’ll be in the drivers’ seat in the Big 12 title race. Going on the road and getting a win in Norman is a tall task, but the Horned Frogs and Hill have shown that they’re capable of beating excellent teams on the road this season.
