Keke Coutee had nine receptions for 168 yards against the Texas Longhorns, and was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

Coutee has been absolutely phenomenal for the Red Raiders this season. He has 1,242 yards and nine touchdowns on the year, and with the win at Texas, has a bowl game to pad his stats more.

If Coutee decides to return for his senior year, he will be part of a team that will be named a dark horse for the 2018 season. The Red Raiders return a staggering 10 starters on the defensive side of the ball, an could return as many as eight or seven on the offensive side of the ball. The only players definitely gone are Nic Shimonek, Dylan Cantrell, and Cameron Batson.

Coutee has been easily the best part of a Texas Tech offense that has seemed to struggle at times this season. Nevertheless, they’re on to a bowl game, a place that few thought they would be just a few weeks ago.
