Football Scoop also reported the news on Thursday afternoon.
Huff was an assistant with the Nittany Lions since James Franklin took the job in 2014. He served as running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Penn State. Huff also worked with Franklin at Vanderbilt in 2011 and has previous coaching stops at Maryland, Western Michigan and with the Buffalo Bills.
Huff is set to join Moorhead, took the Mississippi State head coaching job earlier in the week. Moorhead was Penn State’s offensive coordinator for the last two seasons and revolutionized the program’s offense.
