Joe Moorhead is reportedly bringing Penn State assistant Charles Huff with him to Mississippi State. But the new Bulldogs’ head coach won’t be trying to have any current Penn State commits come to Starkville.
According to Bob Carskadon of HailState.com, Moorhead said Thursday that he would not go after any recruits who are currently committed to Penn State. “I’m not going to do that,” he said. Moorhead took the Mississippi State job on Tuesday night after two seasons as the Nittany Lions’ offensive coordinator.

Often as the coaching carousel spins in December and January, coaches who switch schools will keep lines of communication open with recruits with whom they’ve developed relationships. But it seems Moorhead will keep his focus on Mississippi State commits and other players who have received interest from the Bulldogs.
Moorhead took the job after previous Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen was hired by Florida.
