Jimbo Fisher’s unmet ultimatum at Florida State root of his possible exit for Texas A&M

While the rumors of Texas A&M landing Jimbo Fisher from Florida State continue to intensify, many have wondered what in the world happened to his relationship with the Seminoles?

One report sheds light on what could be the crux of the problem in Tallahassee that has Fisher seemingly on the way out.

According to Brittnee Taylor Newman of InsideTheACC, Fisher’s standing with Florida State has crumbled based on the fact that the school has yet to fulfill one of his demands.

Newman cites sources close to the negotiations who say that Fisher served up an ultimatum of granting a $60 million football stadium that could help Florida State successfully recruit against some of its main competition for prospects. In particular, Newman mentions Alabama, Clemson and Florida.

However, it seems as though that demand was too steep for the university.

Feeding the rumors of Fisher going to Texas A&M, the article then goes on to say that multiple sources have told the site that Fisher — still finishing up his eighth season with the Seminoles — is set to go to College Station.
