Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M rumors have been swirling for weeks, but things got serious on Sunday, when the Aggies fired Kevin Sumlin. Is Fisher staying or going? Well, even he won’t say – he’s stated that he won’t comment on other jobs.
So for now, the Florida State program is in limbo. And freshman quarterback James Blackman’s father, Rick Butts, isn’t happy with Fisher’s silence.
“I for one don’t think it’s fair to the fans or the players to have this thing lingering, just say what it is and keep moving,” Butts wrote on Twitter in response to a Tallahassee Democrat story.
“My son is a freshman on the team and he doesn’t know. Hell, he’s the QB. He should know one way or the other. It’s a distraction. Kill the distraction!”

Butts may have a point. Sooner or later, we’ll know if Fisher’s silence was just a coincidence, or if it was because he knew he was leaving Florida State.
