Iowa State drops Senior Day tribute video ahead of game vs. Oklahoma State

Iowa State-Iowa State Cyclones-senior day-Oklahoma State

For the final time this season, the Iowa State Cyclones will suit up in front the the fans at Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday against Oklahoma State.

For the 20 seniors set to take the field, Saturday afternoon will mark the final time that they’ll ever don an Iowa State uniform at home before the Cyclones close the season on a two-game road stretch. As a small token of appreciation, Iowa State dropped a tribute video ahead of the Cyclones ranked showdown with Oklahoma State, honoring each of the following seniors:

  • Vernell Trent
  • Sam Harms
  • Shawn Curtis
  • Jake Campos
  • Robby Garcia
  • J.D. Waggoner
  • Bryan Larson
  • Jack Spreen
  • Mackenro Alexander
  • Trever Ryen
  • Garrett Owens
  • Kyle Kempt
  • Kyle Starcevich
  • Marchie Murdock
  • Colin Downing
  • Joel Lanning
  • Allen Lazard
  • Kamari Cotton-Moya
  • Evrett Edwards
  • Reggie Wilkerson

The current senior class has played a significant role in the success the Cyclones have enjoyed this season. Joel Lanning, Allen Lazard and Kyle Kempt are just a few of the many names that come to mind when reflecting on the Cyclones 6-3 record and 3-2 mark at home.

More notably, this senior group has helped Iowa State reach a ranking in the polls for the first time since 2005 and double last season’s win total on the strength of historic wins over then-No. 3 Oklahoma and then-No. 4 TCU. The Cyclones can make history once again on Saturday with a win over No. 15 Oklahoma State, which would mark the first time in school history that Iowa State has knocked off three ranked foes in one season.

In hopes of doing so, the Cyclones will need another statement showing from their seniors during their final appearance at The Jack.

Iowa State and Oklahoma State kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET.
