Iowa State running back David Montgomery has played a crucial role in the Cyclones’ resurgence this season. The sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio has rushed for 838 yards and 8 touchdowns this season.
Montgomery is fast, and that, combined with his physicality, has been the key to his success in 2017.
Through nine games, Montgomery has forced the most missed tackles of any FBS running back in the nation. Montgomery has made defenders miss 76 times this season — 60 times on rushes and 16 times on receptions, according to Pro Football Focus.
