Matt Campbell-Iowa State-code of conduct

Iowa State fans can relax. Matt Campbell has signed a 6-year contract extension to remain coaching the Cyclones.

The Cyclones announced the deal early Monday evening.

It came on a tweet with a simple statement from Campbell, who turns  38 on Wednesday and is finishing his second season with the Cyclones after arriving from Toledo last season.

Campbell had been rumored for several open jobs after the Cyclones improved to a 7-5 record and their first bowl appearance since 2012.

It continues one of the feel-good stories of the college football season that will continue during the Cyclones’ bowl preparations.
