The hammer came down on Hugh Freeze and the Ole Miss Rebels on Friday for violations that occurred over a number of years in Oxford.
And a couple hours after the NCAA issued its findings and the sanctions for the Ole Miss football program, former Rebels head coach Hugh Freeze has responded to the ruling and punishment with a statement.

Freeze says that he is disappointed that the NCAA found he was in violation of head coaching bylaws but that he will accept his punishment and not appeal any part of it.
Further, he maintains that he hopes to coach again and make sure to emphasize the fact that his penalties not prevent him from being an assistant coach right away.
