How former Alabama players fared in NFL week 12: Julio Jones returns to form with big performance against Tampa Bay

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones continues to show why many think he’s the best receiver in the NFL. On Sunday, he added to already impressive résumé, grabbing 12 balls for 253 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 34-20 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. One of the Jones’ touchdowns was the byproduct of a great route by Jones, which made the defensive back trip over himself. Jones then showed great balance to stay in bounds.

Jones’ performance against the Buccaneers marked the third time in his career that he’s had more than 250 yards in a game. There have now been 29 instances of that happening, but Jones is the only receiver to do it more than once. He now has the most receiving yards of anyone in their first 90 games in NFL history.

Here is how other former Alabama players fared in NFL week 12:

  • Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry carried the ball 13 times for 79 yards in a 20-16 win against the Indianapolis Colts. Henry put the offense on his back late as he was an integral part of the Titan’s game-winning drive.
