Auburn coach Gus Malzahn provided an injury update about running back Kerryon Johnson on Tuesday.
As relayed by SEC Country’s Justin Ferguson, Malzahn said Johnson is “day-to-day” going into the SEC Championship Game against Georgia on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Johnson sustained an injury to his left shoulder during Auburn’s victory against Alabama last Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Having Johnson available would be key for Auburn in the rematch against Georgia. He has rushed for 1,276 yards with 17 touchdowns this season. He has gained at least 100 yards rushing in seven of the Tigers’ past eight games.
Auburn is 10-2 heading into the SEC Championship Game, and Georgia is 11-1.
