Georgia football podcast: ‘Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate’ will never be a great rivalry

Beginning of the show: Georgia’s rivalry with Georgia Tech is known as “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate.” That’s a a great nickname, but the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets hardly combine for a great rivalry. This is true for reasons beyond the fact UGA is typically a sizable favorite in the game. I’ll talk more about this topic on today’s show.

10-minute mark: Thursdays on DawgNation Daily typically feature DawgNation’s Seth Emerson. Seth is out this week, but will return next week. Pinch hitting for him is a bonus conversation with SEC Country’s Mike Johnson — who shares thoughts on what will happen in Saturdays’ game vs. Georgia Tech, and what to expect from the Iron Bowl.

20-minute mark: I try to update — as of recording time — the latest reports and rumors involving the coaching searches ongoing for Florida and Tennessee. I also preview Thursday night’s Egg Bowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

End of show: I wish DawgNation Daily listeners and viewers a happy Thanksgiving.

Note: I also want to take a moment to wish those of you who see this post a happy Thanksgiving as well. I’m truly grateful that you listen to this show. I trust this week will be the start of a joyous holiday season for you, your family and your friends.
