FSU president’s quip perfectly sums up the state of affairs on campus

Being John Thrasher isn’t easy right now.

The Florida State president is trying to provide a steadying influence as the university combats rumors of head football coach Jimbo Fisher departing for Texas A&M and a leaked report of his  players being investigated for the death of a fraternity turtle.

So Mr. Thrasher, how’s it going at the office?

Thrasher already has a list of potential replacements for Fisher lined up, the most surreal being a swap that would bring the man Fisher would be replacing at Texas A&M (Kevin Sumlin) to Tallahassee.

Thrasher is an alumnus of the university and has been Florida State’s president since 2014.

Despite beginning the season ranked No. 3 in the AP Top 25, Florida State needs a win on Saturday against UL Monroe to merely become bowl eligible.

Florida State will host UL Monroe on Dec. 2 (noon EST) and the game will be televised on the ACC Network.
