Former Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford placed on IR, done for season

The Minnesota Vikings placed former Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, ending his 2017 regular season.

Bradford, who won the 2008 Heisman Trophy with the Sooners, has dealt with a left knee injury since Week 1. He underwent surgery Tuesday, ESPN’s Courtney Cronin reported.

Bradford is eligible to return for the playoffs if Minnesota reaches the postseason.
