At one point in time, Thiyo Lukusa loved football.
Then, he decided he wasn’t doing what he loved anymore, so he quit the Michigan State football program in February. Six months later, however, it appears as though Lukusa has re-found his love.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman posted on Instagram Saturday that he would be joining former Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez and the Arizona Wildcats. Lukusa was a 3-star recruit according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
The No. 40-ranked lineman within the Class of 2016 was originally planning on playing basketball this upcoming season at Arizona Western Junior College, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Lukusa played in eight games as a freshman for the Spartans in 2016.
