Former Michigan star Jabrill Peppers makes goal-line interception for the Browns

So much for those Jabrill Peppers interception jokes. The former Michigan star defensive back is continuing to impress the Cleveland Browns, this time with a goal-line pick.

Peppers took advantage of an overthrow by Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, intercepting Winston’s pass right on the goal-line and returning it a handful of yards before stepping out of bounds.

At Michigan, Peppers was regarded as one of the most versatile players in college football. He proved that in every phase by playing great defense, running the ball on offense and providing a spark in the return game.

However, one knock against him was his lack of interceptions.

In his three-year career as a Wolverines defensive back, Peppers had only one interception in his Michigan career which came in his second-to-last college game against Ohio State.

Of course, that interception stat didn’t prevent Peppers from becoming a Heisman finalist, nor did it stop the Browns from picking Peppers with the 25th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
