Former Miami RB Mark Walton is healed from ankle injury, will participate in NFL Combine

Former Miami running back Mark Walton’s college career ended on Oct. 7 against Florida State, when he suffered a season-ending ankle injury. But Walton seems to be fully healed after several months have passed, as he says he’ll participate in the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine.

Walton’s best season with the Hurricanes was in 2016, when he ran for 1,117 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was expected to have a big junior year, but it never came to fruition due to the ankle injury.

It will be interesting to see where Walton ends up. In a mock draft a few weeks ago, 247 Sports projected the Miami product to be taken late in the second round.
