The preseason looks to have claimed one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ most important players.
Running back Spencer Ware, who went down with an injury in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Friday night, may be forced to miss the entire season. The former LSU standout was getting set to start in the backfield for the Chiefs after earning the job last season.
On Sunday morning, BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com reported the devastating news from the team’s head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder.
Spencer Ware has a torn PCL in addition to other damage. He'll get a second opinion, but it's thought to be season ending, per @proatc.

Last season, Ware rushed for 921 yards and 3 TDs while also showing himself to be a threat in the passing game, reeling in 33 catches for 447 yards and 2 TDs.
