Back in May, Iowa wide receiver Jerminic Smith and the Hawkeyes’ program mutually agreed on the pass-catcher leaving the program.
On Saturday, Smith posted a photo on Instagram, showing that he had found a new home in Division II Southwest Baptist University.

Smith was set to be a junior starting for the Hawkeyes this upcoming season after a 314-yard, two-touchdown sophomore campaign. One month prior to Smith leaving the program, in April, he was suspended from team activities due to academics.
The 6-foot-1 wideout from Garland, Texas was a 3-star recruit in the Class of 2015. Southwest Baptist University is located in Bolivar, Mo.
