Former Arkansas QB Brandon Allen wasn’t even on the market for a full 24 hours before another NFL team came for his services.
Allen was picked up by the Los Angeles Rams on Monday a day after being waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars, meaning the Fayetteville, Ark. native will go coast to coast from one struggling franchise to another.
A sixth-round pick of the Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft, the 6-foot-2, 214-pound Allen was surprisingly released by the team on Sunday. The decision did, however, come after a three-interception performance against the Atlanta Falcons in the preseason finale.
He finished the preseason by going 38-of-58 passing for 516 yards with 3 touchdowns and those 3 interceptions.
Now, Allen will go from a Jaguars team that finished 3-13 last season to a Rams squad that went 4-12.
