ESPN writer picks Baylor to beat Texas Tech

The experts are liking Baylor’s chances more and more these days.

Fresh off their first win of the season against Kansas, Sam Khan Jr. of ESPN is taking the Bears over Texas Tech in a shootout.

Khan cites the Red Raiders’ abysmal third down defense and Charlie Brewer as two reasons Baylor takes home this win.

The Bears have faced some serious adversity this year. Now that they finally have a win on the season, they can begin building for the future. Rhule’s rebuild could take a massive step forward with a two game winning streak.

We already know that Baylor is one of the youngest teams in college football, we know about their devastating streak of injuries. In order to be a good team, you have find ways to win when those things happen, and it looks like the Bears are finally figuring out how to put games away.

Rhule has a real chance at turning Baylor around. A win here isn’t necessary to do that, but a win is possible, and it certainly wouldn’t hurt the rebuilding effort.
