ESPN releases list of announcers for opening weekend SEC games

The much anticipated opening weekend of college football is less than two weeks away, and it will bring a slew of games that will have playoff – and conference pride – implications.

Many of these matchups will be aired on the ESPN family of networks, and the company released the list of announcers that will work the games for the 2017 season openers.

The feature game of the weekend will be No. 1 Alabama taking on No. 3 Florida State at the brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Longtime mainstays Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will call the hyped game between the Crimson Tide and Seminoles, while Maria Taylor and Tom Rinaldi will join them on the sidelines.
