Surprisingly enough, Alabama has taken some heat in recent weeks for what people perceive as a weak schedule this season.
However, the Tide have an opportunity to put that talk to rest on Saturday as they take on no. 18 Mississippi State in Starkville. But while the Tide are certainly favored to win, there are still some who believe Mississippi State has a good shot at taking down Nick Saban’s squad.
That includes ESPN’s Desmond Howard, who said on SportsCenter on Saturday morning “Alabama might just be vulnerable today.”
With Shaun Dion Hamilton out for the season, and Minkah Fitzpatrick nursing an injury of his own, there are certainly some question marks on the defensive side of the ball for the Tide.
But does that make them ‘vulnerable?’ I guess we’ll find out later tonight.
