ESPN’s Dan Dakich picks Ohio State hoops to go to the Final Four

It’s clear that ESPN experts love Michigan State basketball as the season rapidly approaches, but one analyst is high on Ohio State too.

Dan Dakich picked the Buckeyes to go to the Final Four in his predictions along with the Spartans, Duke and Arizona. Of course, he also picked the Spartans to win.

Whether it’s considered a hot take or not, Dakich has had some big statements before and has had his beefs with some Big Ten teams, coaches and figures.

But he also may have a horse in the race, as his son Andrew Dakich formerly played at Michigan but transferred to the Buckeyes this past summer.

The Buckeyes are led by first-year head coach Chris Holtmann, who inherits a team that went 17-15 last season and 7-11 in the Big Ten. The team crashed out of the conference tournament in the first round with a loss to Rutgers.

This season, they open up against Robert Morris at home on Friday.
