Michael Williams has been a regular on the sidelines at Tiger Stadium this fall, and tonight, the LSU coaches will return the favor.
LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda will go in-home with Williams, one of the team’s top remaining defensive targets in the 2018 recruiting class. Williams, a 3-star athlete from the Dunham School in Baton Rouge, is projected to play defensive end at the next level.
The 6-foot-2, 260-pound Williams has made a handful of unofficial visits to LSU this fall, most recently attending the Texas A&M game on Saturday night. The Aggies are one of the other SEC schools pursuing Williams along with Alabama and Ole Miss, in addition to LSU.
Aranda spent part of Monday visiting with priority 4-star Baton Rouge defensive back Kelvin Joseph and will join Steve Ensminger in Shreveport, La., on Tuesday visiting Micah Baskerville, Ar’Darius Washington and Davin Cotton. First, he’ll spend quality time with Williams, who is expected to make a decision on signing day in February.
