Dan LeBatard might’ve made that absurd bet with Mike Golic but that doesn’t mean he truly believes his alma mater Miami will knock off Notre Dame on Saturday.
The Miami-based ESPN personality made a friendly wager with Golic that the loser will have to to give a butt massage to his radio co-host Stugotz.
However, while his rooting interest is undeniable, LeBatard can’t shake the sense that Notre Dame (8-1) is going to hand Miami (8-0) its first loss of the season.
So despite choosing the Canes for the bet, LeBatard thinks the Fighting Irish will leave Hard Rock Stadium with a victory.
“I simply think Notre Dame is a better football team and I’ve watched Miami this season win a lot of close games in unimpressive fashion,” LeBatard said on his radio show.
Notre Dame leads the all-time series 18-7-1, with the games in Miami tied at 6-6-1.
No. 3 Notre Dame at No. 7 Miami is slated for an 8 p.m. (EST) kickoff and will be televised on ABC.
