Based on the schedule for next week, the Georgia-Florida game is the biggest game on tap. And now with College GameDay headed to Jacksonville, it almost certainly will be the most talked about national game.
The No. 8 Bulldogs take on the No. 11 Florida Gators at 3:30 p.m. on CBS and WSB Radio will also broadcast the game on 95.5 FM or AM 750. But before all of that, Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso will be on hand to preview the game for College GameDay on Oct. 27.

This is the first time that College GameDay will visit Jacksonville, Fla., since 2005 for the Georgia-Florida game and the fourth time in the history of College GameDay. Florida has won the previous three times College GameDay has been on hand for the Georgia-Florida game (1999, 2002, 2005).
This year will be the first time that both teams are ranked since 2012. Georgia won that contest 17-9 and went to win the SEC East and play Alabama in the SEC Championship game. Georgia also won last year’s contest, as the Bulldogs stomped Florida 42-7. The very next day, the Gators parted ways with coach Jim McElwain. Florida replaced McElwain with Dan Mullen, who Georgia also beat last season as the Bulldogs took down Mississippi State 31-3.
Georgia is coming off its first loss of the season, as the Bulldogs lost 36-16 at LSU last week. Florida meanwhile beat LSU earlier in the season, 27-19 in Gainesville, and also enters the game with a 6-1 record. This game will also go a long in determining who wins the SEC East, as Georgia, Florida and Kentucky all have one conference loss.
Both Georgia and Florida are off this week and will thus have time to rest up and get healthy before the annual rivalry game.
