In the college football betting odds for Week 1 games, the Florida-Michigan game is one of the most interesting lines to watch.
The Gators, who are back-to-back SEC East champions, find themselves as a 3.5-point underdog to Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines in the neutral-site opener at AT&T Stadium in Irving, Texas. Florida is expected to be without seven suspended players, including star WR Antonio Callaway.
Florida is joined by Texas A&M and South Carolina as the three SEC underdogs in Week 1, according to betting lines from offshore oddsmaker MyBookie.
Another game the entire college football world will be watching is Alabama-Florida State. In a matchup of the No. 1 and No. 3 teams in the preseason polls, the Crimson Tide are a 7-point favorite over the Seminoles, according to MyBookie.
In other Week 1 games for the SEC’s top teams, Auburn is a 35-point favorite against Georgia Southern, Georgia has a 13.5-point spread against Appalachian St. and Tennessee is favored to beat Georgia Tech by a 4-point spread.
Vanderbilt and Kentucky are both road favorites in their openers against Conference USA opponents, with the Commodores travelling to play Middle Tennessee and the Wildcats taking on Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss.
It will be interesting to see if the SEC can gain some early-season momentum in a slate of challenging Week 1 games.
