Clemson football: WR Deon Cain grades out well vs. N.C. State

Deon Cain’s traditional numbers were impressive against N.C. State. The junior receiver hauled in 9 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Cain graded out well by the advanced metrics, too, according to Pro Football Focus. PFF released its Week 10 ACC Team of the Week, and Cain earned a spot. He’s joined by N.C. State receiver Kelvin Harmon and Syracuse receiver Steve Ishmael.

Cain has 37 catches for 440 yards and 4 touchdowns on the season, but he’s yet to top 100 yards in a game. His yards per catch average is down by more than 7 from his sophomore year.

However, his last game was his best of the season. Perhaps Cain is developing a rapport with quarterback Kelly Bryant as we get set to enter the home stretch.
