Clemson football: Dabo Swinney goes off on N.C. State coach Dave Doeren following laptop complaint

Following N.C. State’s 38-31 loss to Clemson in Week 10, N.C. State coach Dave Doeren called for an investigation into a laptop that was spotted on the Clemson sideline. A controversy since dubbed “laptop-gate” was born.

On Sunday, Clemson claimed that the laptop has been present on the Tiger sideline during road games for two-plus seasons, and that it is used to gather photos and videos for social media highlights, not coaching. Monday, the ACC said it had accepted the school’s explanation.

While that seemingly ended the controversy, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was plenty fired up about it at his Tuesday press conference. Swinney called Doeren’s comments “a challenge to our integrity.”

Swinney also raised questions about the behavior of the N.C. State players and coaches during the team’s past few meetings. For example, Saturday, Wolfpack defensive end Bradley Chubb continually stole the towel that was tucked in Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant’s waistband.

Swinney referenced that and other incidents in his Tuesday rant. The entire quote, which was tweeted out by ESPN.com’s David Hale, can be seen below:
