After originally decomitting in October, Lewisville Hebron (TX) quarterback Clayton Tune recommitted to Kansas, according to Jon Kirby of JayhawkSlant.com.
Tune is a three star prospect, and would likely be the future at quarterback for the Jayhawks. He also had offers from North Texas, Houston, and was gaining interest from Baylor.
Tune can absolutely individually succeed at Kansas, but at this point in time, it’s hard to see the Jayhawks improving too much in the win/loss column. This was one of the worst seasons Kansas has had in recent history, and that’s saying something considering they have one Power 5 win in the past three years.
If Kansas is going to succeed, it’ll need a much better offense, which is where Tune comes in. Their defense isn’t half bad, considering who they’ve had to play, but they haven’t had a semblance of a passing game in a long time.
