Oklahoma’s road win might not be enough to move them up in the College Football Playoff Rankings.
Oklahoma’s win in Bedlam wasn’t the strongest, to be sure. It was still a win over a top 25 ranked rival on the road. That, apparently, counts for nothing.
There’s still time for the Sooners to move up in the rankings, they’ll take on TCU this weekend and close out the season with West Virginia.
The official rankings still aren’t out yet, and we’ll have a full week before anyone can start shouting accusations of bias at anyone. However, one week from now, if Oklahoma has beaten TCU and Oklahoma State, and they aren’t in the top four, then what, exactly, are we doing here?
Luckily, the Sooners control their own destiny in conference play. All you can do is keep winning at this point.
