Byron Murphy among the most lethal Pac-12 CBs rated by PFF

Byron-Murphy-Washington-Huskies

Despite appearing in just five games this year — he missed seven games with a broken foot — Washington Huskies freshman cornerback Byron Murphy is the second-highest rated cornerback in the latest Pro Football Focus list.

The list rates Pac-12 defensive backs based on opposing quarterback ratings when targeted.

Murphy holds opposing gunslingers to just a rating of 44.0 when they target his matchup. Sean Harper Jr. of Washington State ranks first on the list, keeping QBs to a minuscule 33.9 rating.

The first-year player for the Huskies had his best game in the Apple Cup victory over Washington State, registering five tackles including one for a loss and three pass break-ups.
