It has been a rough 24 hours for Texas A&M after blowing a 44-10 lead at UCLA in the season opener. Now, the news continues to get worse as starting quarterback Nick Stargell and safety Donovan Wilson are uncertain to return for the Aggies in the 2017 season, per Brent Zwerneman.
Stargell, who was making his first start, suffered the injury in the 3rd quarter of the loss and was seen in a walking boot after the game. He had surgery on the ankle today and is likely out for the rest of the season.
Wilson, one of the Aggies’ top defensive players, also had surgery on his foot.
