BREAKING: Auburn assistant coach Chuck Person indicted by federal grand jury

Auburn assistant coach Chuck Person has been indicted by a federal grand jury in New York on six federal charges, per ESPN.com.

Person was arrested by the FBI in September on six counts of conspiracy and fraud. He is alleged to have received up to $91,500 in payments to ensure Auburn players would sign with a certain agent, Rashan Michel, in the Atlanta area.

In the 32-page complaint by the U.S. Attorney’s office against Person, the assistant coach was “charged with bribery conspiracy; solicitation of bribes and gratuities; conspiracy to  commit honest services fraud; honest services wire fraud; conspiracy to commit wire fraud; and travel act conspiracy.”

Person has been suspended indefinitely from his position.
