Bell, who was a camp standout over the summer, committed to Alabama in August shortly after earning an offer from the Tide in July. Bell de-committing from Alabama was going to happen regardless of if it was his decision or if it was on the team to back off from him eventually. One source close to the program told SEC Country two weeks ago that Bell was not going to sign with Alabama because the numbers in the 2018 class are too tight and the team just has more important targets than him.
The 6-foot-5, 295-pound prospect is ranked as the nation’s No. 22 offensive guard in the country.
