Michigan’s 2018 basketball recruiting class is inked. Brandon Johns, a 4-star forward, signed his National Letter of Intent on Friday to officially make himself the 5th and final member of the Wolverines’ highly ranked 2018 recruiting class.

Johns joins 4-star forwards Ignas Brazdeikis and Colin Castleton as well as 3-star guards David DeJulius and Adrien Nunez in a class that is ranked 6th in the country and 2nd in the Big Ten in the 247Sports composite rankings.

The four other players signed their National Letters of Intent earlier in the week. Johns did so Friday afternoon at East Lansing High School.

Johns, a 6-foot-8 power forward, committed to Michigan in late June, picking John Beilein’s program over other schools like Indiana, Pitt and Xavier. Johns is ranked as the No. 69 overall player in the 2018 class and the No. 2 player in Michigan, according to the 247Sports composite.

Only Brazdeikis, who is No. 42 in the class, is ranked higher in the Michigan class. They both should be able to make impacts early for the Wolverines starting in the 2018-19 season.
