Brady Heiman commits to Nebraska basketball: Huskers get in-state 2018 center

The first piece of Nebraska basketball’s 2018 recruiting class has fallen into place.

Brady Heiman, a 6-foot-10 center from Springfield, Neb., committed to the Huskers late Tuesday night.

Heiman received offers from both Nebraska and Creighton within the last week, according to 247Sports. Heiman, who is listed at 200 pounds and not rated in the 247Sports composite system, also has offers from Davidson, Bucknell and Rice.

Heiman is the first member of the Huskers’ 2018 class. Tuesday, Nebraska added another recruit to its 2017 class in Icelandic guardĀ ThorirĀ Thorbjarnarson. Nebraska also had 4-star guard Thomas Allen and 3-star guard Nana Akenten in its 2017 class.
