Baylor fans frustrated by missed chances in 38-24 loss to Texas Tech

Baylor football was plagued by mistakes on Saturday against Texas Tech at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

A series of unforced errors and turnovers proved to be too much to overcome for the Bears, as they fell to the Red Raiders, 38-24.

Baylor fans were none too pleased with the team’s miscues that ultimately cost the Bears a shot at their second win of 2017.

Here’s what some of the Baylor faithful had to say after the game concluded:

Trey Miller: “Too many mistakes to overcome! 4 turnovers causing 17 points! All youthful mistakes! This missed blocking assignment by #55 on the 4th and 1 at goal line play was a huge one!

David Pryor: “Worse season ever is coming true.”

Scott King: “Too many turnovers, mistakes on both sides of the ball, and need to be better run-blocking.”

Jane Harvill:  Stat-wise, we beat TTU. More passing yards, more rushing yards, more first downs … unfortunately, we also had more turnovers.”

Craig Cook: Won in every category but the one that counts. Too many turnovers and missed opportunities.”

Robert Sammon: “A game of missed opportunities and errors…it should have been a win. Uggggh. Thank God it is basketball season. Sic ‘Em Lady Bears, Men’s Bears and Baylor soccer! Maybe we can put together a respectable game next week.”

Nate Jarecke: “Just missed on some plays, were in the red zone 3 times and came up with nothing, all young mistakes.”

Baylor will return home for the final time this year on Nov. 18 for a game against Iowa State. The Bears will wrap up their 2017 season at TCU on Nov. 24.
