Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer is taking home some Big 12 honors after his freshman campaign.

Brewer was named the Big 12 Co-Offensive Freshman of the Year for 2017 after an impressive first year with the Bears. TCU freshman receiver Jalen Reagor was also named for the award.

Brewer took over as the starter for Zach Smith for the final four games of the year. He led the Bears to their only win of the year, a 38-9 win at Kansas. He also led Baylor to furious rally at home against West Virginia on Oct. 21 before falling just short in a 38-36 loss.

The freshman quarterback completed 68.1 percent of his passes for 1,562 yards, 11 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in 8 games this season.
