Auburn added a new opponent to its 2020 schedule, and it’s one that the Tigers have never faced before. For the first time, Auburn will play UMass on Nov. 14, 2020, at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The schools announced the future meeting on Thursday.
The Tigers only have one other non-conference game scheduled for 2020 at this point — a Sept. 26 home matchup against Southern Miss.
Auburn won’t be the first SEC team to face UMass in the next few years, as the Minutemen are scheduled to play Tennessee and Mississippi State this season, and Georgia in 2018.
UMass played three SEC teams last season — Florida, Mississippi State and South Carolina — and lost to all three during their 2-10 campaign.
