Arkansas extended an offer to Under Armour All-American defensive end Caleb Okechukwu on Saturday.
Okechukwu (6-foot-3, 250 pounds) attends St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C. He is one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2018 class. He’s a 3-star recruit and outside the top 1,700 recruits in the class according to the 247Sports composite. However, his inclusive in the Under Armour All-American Game and his increasing list of interest schools suggest he’s far better of the prospect than the rankings indicate.
Okechukwu is reportedly set to official visit Texas next weekend. His offer list also includes Arizona and Tennessee with reported interest coming from Georgia, Mississippi State, Washington and several other Power 5 programs.
Defensive end is one of Arkansas’ top remaining priorities in the 2018 class. The Hogs signed eight players during the early signing period last month with the expectation of signing six-to-eight more next month.
