Arkansas has officially lost the commitment of 2018 cornerback Byron Hanspard II.
A 4-star recruit according to the 247Sports composite, Hanspard cited the firing of coach Bret Bielema last week as the reason for denouncing his pledge. From DeSoto (Texas), Hanspard has offers from 12 other Power 5 programs.
The Hogs’ 2018 class is now down to 10 commitments with several of those currently evaluating their options in the wake of Bielema’s departure. Hanspard was one of three 4-star pledges in the class along with linebacker Bumper Pool and quarterback Connor Noland. Both those players remain solidly committed.
