Ameer Abdullah tries to cheat, beat Golden Tate in Detroit Lions touchdown celebration

For Monday Night Football, the Detroit Lions are playing the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

Thanks to Aaron Rodgers being out with a broken collarbone, the Lions’ defense and offense has dominated the game in the first half. The first score of the contest came in the first quarter when Matthew Stafford found Marvin Jones for a 25-yard touchdown.

The celebration that followed was quite hilarious, especially if you’re familiar with video games.

Lions running back Ameer Abdullah and wide receiver Golden Tate were controlling a couple of their teammates, trying to win a boxing match. While Tate’s man ended up winning the fight, the former Cornhuskers tailback tried to get the upper hand by pushing Tate away from his imaginary controller.

Take a look:

Sometimes, button-mashing isn’t going to get the job done. Cheating, on the other hand, is one way to get a leg up on the competition.

Thank you, NFL, for making these types of celebrations possible again.
