Alex Gordon, currently a left fielder for the Kansas City Royals, has been one heck of a defensive player since arriving in the majors.
The former Nebraska Cornhuskers third baseman was awarded some hardware today that backs up that claim and this surely isn’t the first time he has been recognized.

To win one Gold Glove award, or any individual award for that matter is nice, but sustained success is what defines players as being great. For Gordon, he has sustained his excellence defensively for quite a while now, and these awards are just the icing on the cake.
The former second overall pick in the 2005 MLB Draft possessed a .353 batting average during his time at Nebraska and he also hit 44 home runs to go along with 189 RBIs.
The 2015 World Series champion was also the second player in Cornhuskers history to be a First-Team All-American two separate times.
